Organ substitutes listed are members in good standing of the Harrisburg AGO Chapter, though their qualifications have not been endorsed by the Chapter. It is the hiring organization’s responsibility to ask for specific information – education, experience, recent references, and to discuss these items with the chosen substitute. The hiring organization and the organist should agree on a reasonable fee before the service. The Harrisburg Chapter does not publish a fee schedule.

Praise Band Music Leader: Friedens Lutheran Church in Myerstown is seeking a keyboard artist with vocal skills and a passion for leading contemporary music with a praise band (guitar and drums). This is a salaried part-time position at $13,000 per year. with two weeks paid vacation. This position selects contemporary songs that complement the liturgical day (Revised Common Lectionary - RCL); resources are available to assist with this task. The leader also teaches the songs to the band for worship leadership at 9:00 am on Sundays and at the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve worship service. Please contact the Rev. Trinity UCC, East Petersburg, PA seeks organist. Must demonstrate proficiency and professional competence in organ and piano performance, as well as choir accompaniment. Should have some knowledge of church liturgy. Candidate should have ability to work with others as a member of a team. Compensation dependent on skill, training, and experience. The organ at Trinity is a two-manual digital Allen organ. Salary Range $14,000-16,000.

Organist: Trinity United Methodist Church, Lebanon is accepting applications for an organist/pianist to support our weekly 9:15 am Sunday worship service and to accompany an adult choir on occasion. The organ is a 2-manual Moller pipe organ. The compensation is negotiable. Director(s) of Music Ministry - Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg, PA, is currently welcoming applicants for Director(s) of Music Ministry. Candidates need to display a love for God and for worshiping through music. The successful candidate(s) must possess high proficiency on organ or piano, with capabilities in both strongly preferred. Additionally, the candidate we seek will have the ability to direct the adult vocal choir. Responsibilities will include planning and coordinating music choices and practices for weekly Sunday worship service(s), special events (including funerals, weddings, etc.), and special worship services throughout the year. Both traditional and contemporary praise music is encouraged! Opportunities also exist for leading small ensembles, handbell choir, children’s choir, and individual performances. These responsibilities could be divided among multiple candidates depending on interest and qualifications. Pay structure will be commensurate with experience and final job scope.
